Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 20, 2026
POWER OF ONE CAMPAIGN respects the privacy of people who join, support, volunteer with, or contact the One Dollar Campaign. This policy explains the information we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with the campaign, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, city, province/state, country, contribution amount and payment method, payment reference, referral or agent information, optional profile photo, public-recognition preference, Supporter Wall preference, community opt-in, and campaign-news preference.
Payments
Debit and credit card payments are processed through Square. The One Dollar Campaign does not store your complete card number or card security code. We may retain transaction identifiers, payment status, amount, receipt link, and reconciliation information supplied by the payment processor. E-Transfer and cash contributions are confirmed by authorized administrators.
How we use information
We use information to record and reconcile contributions, provide payment and confirmation messages, administer supporter and group records, prevent fraud or duplicate submissions, provide referral tools, maintain campaign statistics, respond to inquiries, and operate campaign services. Optional public profile information is used only according to the visibility choices you select.
Public recognition and photos
Being listed on the Supporter Wall and allowing publication of a profile photo are optional. You can choose not to appear publicly. Public-recognition preferences can be changed by contacting us.
Campaign news and updates
Transactional messages needed to process a contribution are separate from optional campaign-news emails. Campaign news is sent only when you opt in, and you may ask to stop receiving it at any time.
Referrals and community membership
If you use a referral link, we may record the referring supporter or authorized agent so campaign participation can be attributed correctly. If you choose to join the Wakandian Community, the information needed to create or connect your community record may be securely transmitted to the related Camp Wakanda Forever member system.
Service providers and disclosure
We may use service providers for website hosting, email delivery, security, payment processing, analytics, and related campaign operations. Information is shared only as reasonably needed for those services, to comply with law, or to protect the campaign and its participants.
Retention and security
We retain campaign and transaction records for operational, accounting, legal, fraud-prevention, and historical purposes as appropriate. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the information we hold.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of eligible personal information, change public-recognition choices, withdraw optional publication consent, or withdraw campaign-news consent by contacting the campaign.
Contact
For privacy questions or requests, use the contact information published on this website.
This page is an operational privacy-policy template for the campaign and should be reviewed periodically as services and legal requirements change.
