What is the Power of One Campaign?
The Power of One Campaign is a community-wide movement where people contribute $1 per month (or $12 for the year) to help build and support the vision of Camp Wakanda Forever and its programs. It’s designed so everyone can participate because the real power is in unity.
Why only one dollar?
Because one dollar removes the barrier to entry. It turns support into something consistent and achievable for almost anyone. The campaign is built on participation: when enough people contribute together, “small” becomes massive.
Where does the money go?
Contributions go toward supporting the campaign mission and the development of Camp Wakanda Forever including youth programming, community initiatives, planning, infrastructure needs, and growth of the overall vision. We also believe in transparency, which is why we share donor progress publicly.
Is this donation tax-deductible?
Nope!
How do I donate?
You can contribute using the options shown on the website, such as: E-Transfer Cash PayPal Other approved methods You can also donate through an authorized collector (see verification below).
What if I can’t give monthly?
No problem. Give what you can, when you can many people choose $12 once per year. The most important thing is participation and spreading the message.
What is a “Wakandian”?
A “Wakandian” is someone who chooses to publicly identify as a committed supporter of the vision—someone who stands up for unity, legacy, and community building. It’s optional, but it represents pride, participation and comes with lots of perks.
How do I verify an authorized collector before giving cash?
Always verify before you hand over money. Use the Verify an Authorized Collector page on the website. If the person is not found, do not give them funds. Verification protects donors and keeps the campaign accountable.
Are all people on the “Authorized Collectors / Agents” wall approved?
Yes. Only collectors displayed on the Authorized Collectors wall are recognized by the campaign. If a person’s photo and name are not shown, they are not authorized to collect funds on behalf of the campaign.
Why do you show donor statistics publicly?
Because we believe accountability builds trust. We don’t hide our numbers we show progress so the community can see growth, celebrate participation, and hold us to a transparent standard.
Will my name appear on the donor wall?
If you choose to be publicly listed, your name and photo may appear on the donor wall (based on your privacy selection). If you prefer privacy, your donation can still count without being displayed publicly.
Can I search for donors by name, city, or country?
Yes. The website includes donor search tools so you can look up names and also view donors by city or country (where enabled). It’s a way to celebrate participation and encourage others to join.
How will I know my donation made a difference?
Supporters receive updates on milestones, development progress, and success stories. Those who purchase stock also receive official certificates, symbolizing their stake in the movement.
How can I become an authorized collector?
You must register on the site and be approved into an authorized role. Once approved, your profile will appear on the Authorized Collectors wall, and you can be verified by donors before accepting funds.
How else can I support besides donating?
